Problem pugs, although Pugs are not generally know for their aggression they can be quite possessive little dogs. They attach themselves very strongly to people.
Jealousy for attention amongst “their pack” can be an issue with other dogs in the pack. Cute and cuddly as they are, they are still dogs.
Understanding how dogs think and their body language is essential to creating and keeping harmony. Sometimes what we think of as being cute behaviour is actually your Pug being very dominant. It’s generally you as the owner that needs to step up into the role of pack leader and change your behaviour. This means putting the wellbeing of the whole pack first not one individual in the pack.
In this video clip you can see how even a slight favouritism causes jealousy and aggression. With a few slight changes “The dog whisperer” Cesar Millan stops these two Pugs fighting. He returns harmony to their household and also the Pug pack!
You can find out more about creating and keeping harmony in your Pug household from Cesar”s books and videos.
